I am a designer, I’ll create user interfaces for (mostly) web Apps that bridges project owners and users. I’m working with the group to explore the design system and better handoffs between designers and developers.

 

I am a designer who expertises in project-based research. Besides the interface design, I can plan and conduct research to learn about users to assist design decisions that build up user experiences. I can also adapt methods to broader topics like trend analysis, opportunity insights, App critique and improvement, etc. …

 

I’m also a designer interested in academic research which delivers Publications. I was interested in CSCW (Computer Supported Cooperative Work) and the design of AI products in my graduate education, and I’m exploring other opportunities too but will set UX design as a standpoint.

 

Design is my standpoint. I’ve been studying and practicing design for eight years. I have a background of Industrial Design in Beihang University and I received my Master of Design degree in 2021 from the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP). I brought rational thinking and an evidential approach to design because of my education. I believe that research can bring daily design to a higher level.

 

I also had a multidisciplinary background including a little bit of everything: mechanical engineering, business, ethnography, statistics… which was a little bit of every upstream and downstream field centered with the design in the industry. These helped me understand design and stakeholders comprehensively.
